Caring, Learning, and Exploring Together

Our baby room is all about forming a healthy and emotionally supportive relationship between each child and their key person. We believe in maintaining routines to promote comfort and security and allowing the children to explore their environment and the resources we provide and having fun while doing so.

Our baby room is all about forming a healthy and emotionally supportive relationship between each child and their key person. We believe in maintaining routines to promote comfort and security and allowing the children to explore their environment and the resources we provide and having fun while doing so.

Our practitioners make time to read stories, sing songs and rhymes with the children, encouraging them to join in by saying the words and copying the actions. Throughout the day practitioners will communicate with the children either in a small group or on a one-to-one basis, telling stories or role playing, and the children can share their ideas with support and modelling from the practitioner.

Building Positive Relationships and Early Social Skills

Through role modelling and daily interactions, we support our youngest children in forming positive relationships with their carers and their peers. We gently introduce cooperative play, helping them develop the social confidence and security they need before transitioning to our toddler room at around two years old.

We also provide a separate sleep room for our younger children—a calm, comfortable, and supervised space where they can rest and recharge during the day.

Supporting Physical Development Through Outdoor Exploration

We value the importance of outdoor experiences at every age. Our practitioners help children develop essential physical skills such as core strength, balance, stability, spatial awareness, coordination, and agility. These gross motor skills support healthy physical development as well as social and emotional well-being.
Our babies benefit from a safe and secure outdoor play area, where they can explore, observe the older children, and enjoy fresh air in a nurturing environment.
